Near Zhujiang Xi Road and seated in Zhujiang New Town, the new office, called PwC centre, is actually surrounded by dust aroused from under-construction neighbourhood and low-paid labourers. The path from the exit of metro to PwC centre is not guaranteed for a casual walk. The white-collars take the risk of being crashed without traffic light to go across the road, walking down some bald, unsheltered and dusty lanes to reach the new office. The peddlers are selling unpacked and nasty food on the barrow, whose guest are the low-paid people and so-called white-collars.
Comparatively, PwC centre with large scale is more comfortable than the old one near Guangzhou East Station. Every staff is assigned with fixed booth and doesn’t need to catch up the earliest bus or metro to occupy an seat. The badge of the glittering logo in CBD has pleased the vanity and flattered the self-importance of the partners.
Although I am unaware of my next station and uncertain of my polished talent whatsoever, I am still thinking of step-by-step efforts to grow into a better person, to avoid my ill-fated and most lamentable youth ended in ruin and anonymity by the hands of PwC.
